audio stops when under heavy acceleration?

hey, i have a problem with my headunit. its a pioneer deh3900. whenever i accelerate fast, the music stops playing. i have to turn it off then turn it back on again for it to start working again. sometimes when i accelerate slighty hard, it just like gets clippy, but doesnt go out all the way. any idea what could be wrong? the headunit itself doesnt shut off, it just stops playing music. i had it installed by a pro. so i assume all the wireing is hooked up right. its been doing this for about 2 weeks now and ive had the unit for about 5 months.

sounds like to me ya have a power problem from the load cause from heavy acceleration but cant be for certian but id start there if youre using crimp style connector that has a piece of wire goin in each end id check the resistance of the connectors an check youre grounds.

check the ground because i notice with mine the ground got loose after a couple of months and maybe from the accelration it is causing the ground to not be in contact with metal.

thanx playstation as soon as you you said groound it kicked i think its a ground loop that just doesnt get noticed till acceleration instead of the alt whine youre getting a diff kind of feed back

if you put a star washer between the body and the lug, it won't turn or come loose.

I don't think a ground loop would cause this problem, but a loose ground could.

hmm i was thinkn ground loop , only beacause if the ground was faulty ive always seen the headunit go completly out , but of course electronics have minds of there own ....

this would be more like a ground substitution ....... if the actual gnd is loose or missing, the headunit may try to look for a gnd thru the antenna gnd or even the rca gnd wire.
