GTRA how much oil?

Canton Pan? 6-7
Remote filter? 1

It appears that some of the dip sticks are marked some are not.

Mine was marked... has a notch in it well above the oem mart. I used 7 quarts total. Filled the oil filter first, then put the rest of the 7 through the normal oil fill. I did not crack the oil cooler lines at all, no need in my opinion.

I fired up the car and let it run then cool down. Oil fill was right on the mark on my dipsitck.

Yup, 7 quarts for my 5.0l car too. My dip stick is marked, and that much oil brought it right to the mark.
I also didn't bother with cracking the oil cooler lines. I will change the oil often enough that I don't beleive that the small fraction in the oil cooler will hurt my motor longevity.
Hell, I'm going to swap to a higher HP motor as soon as I can, so why change the oil at all. JK....:grinno: :screwy: :uhoh: :naughty:

I am at 7 total too, way above the factory mark and just below the hash mark etched in the stick. I guess the pan is 6qts, and the filter is 1.

^ The GTS race car manual states 6 quarts in the pan, 1 in the filter, and 2 in the cooler/lines for 9 total capacity. It seems that the 5.0 w/ the canton pan is the same. I think it has the same cooler/lines setup and possible the same oil pan.
