Looking fo some information on alternative fuels, ie books, videos etc. Mostly looking for technical stuff like a text book of sorts. Seems in my area anyway no one really cares enough about it but with Honda releasing their Hydrogen powered cars in California I'm tryin to stay ahead of the game and get my shop at least famaliar with the topic.CNG vehicles are big here but only in fleets, dont see many customers driving them around. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

The hydrogen cars being sold in California by Honda and Toyota currently are not internal combustion engines. You need to look up "hydrogen fuel cells." Since you probably won't be able to fix a fuel cell stack, you'll have to know how to work on electric vehicles since that's how the driveline works.

For the next 10-20 years, you won't have to worry about working much other than gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines. Fuel cells will not be coming to regular buyers in any significant volume for another 10-20 years.

Just because Honda and Toyota are selling them now, doesn't mean you'll see them any time soon. Currently, the Honda and Toyota can only be leased and they run about $10,000 a month.
