how would these two work together????

Very well. The s2 injectors are plenty if your plans are maxing out that little stock turbo or touching lightly into the big turbo world like I have. The safc is supposed to be just a little bit harder than the dtec to use. Anyways, back to the original question, they would work great together.

well im planning to get them...... than get a ported turbo with a bigger wheel
with a ported manifold wit a external wastegate...

I'm not sure if it's personal choice or what but I would suggest looking into the e1 and e2 by realtune rather than the sst from ppt.

if i was just to put the stage 2 injectors and not tune it would it slow me down....and is the safc just a "put on and go" or do i have to buy something else to make it work...???

i run a 50 trim with an afc and 750 injectors..... what makes this turbo "better", as they said than a big turbo? other than a quicker spool, wouldnt you still make better power off of a big turbine?

The 50 trim is the best turbo for a spool/power ratio. Since the srt has such a quick redline having a humongous intake wheel would make no sense. The 50lb wheel in the 50 trim allows for a quick mid-rpm spool but still a close to 500hp max. You would make more power off of a bigger wheel...with say a 60trim but it wouldn't be usable...like explained before.

I tried the whole "s2 injectors by themselves" deal and it was fine in the winter when it leaned it out just enough to compensate. Then when summer hit, my long term fuel trims were so ridiculous that I was actually spitting gas out the exhaust and the car would bog down when going down the track. I bought a dtec fuel controller and that fixed everything. The safc will need something called a tach-driver to make it work. The safc is also a little bit more difficult to use depending on your electronic knowhow. I wouldn't suggest the dtec though because they have maf harness issues, which I've had since I've owned mine...and their customer service isn't very helpful on the topic.

can i hold 18psi with the injectors alone???.....when i brake boost with the stock injectors i hit a fuel cut..... are the stage 2 injectors goin to help it not do that????.....i have the greddy profec electric boost controller...
Turbodog97
02-06-2008, 10:37 PM
The injectors are just going to give you enough fuel for 18psi, not do anything to hold that boost. Holding that boost will have to do with the wastegate spring you are using at how well you tuned that profec. The larger injectors will help out with fuel cut...primarily because of the fuel controller doing it's job.

oh ok...because i got a huge fuel cut today holding 18psi in 3rd gear so i turned it down till i get the injectors....

is their any how tos for installing the injectors
Turbodog97
02-10-2008, 06:01 PM
Installing injectors in the srt is one of the easiest things to do.
A) Get a bunch of rags and a 12mm(Im pretty sure) deep socket
B)Place rags around snap fitting on fuel rail
C) Unplug fuel line from rail(clean up extra gas)
D)Undo the bolts that hold the rail to the manifold
E) Carefully pull(starting left to right) the injectors out of the manifold
F) Undo the clips that hold the injectors to the rail(pull out injectors)
G) Place in new injectors and reinstall clips. I suggest new o-rings which are available from auto stores for a couple dollars.
H) Redo all the above steps.
I) Prime the car about 5 times before starting(put the key in and turn to the 2nd position so that the fuel pump turns on and then off).
J) Start the car and look for leaks. Drive around...and look for leaks. A couple days later...look for leaks.
K) You're done.

i did it:grinyes: ... it feels like the car is running much stronger in the top end.....
what does the tach driver do for the safc fuel controller???

What size injectors did you use? The point of the tach driver is to give the safc an rpm source(if I remember correctly). Only some fuel controllers need them....one's like the dtec do not. I would highly suggest getting a fuel controller soon if you put in injectors any size about 577cc(s1's).

i put the stage 2 injectors since i got a good deal on them....what other mods can i use to lean it out???? like tb..
Turbodog97
02-10-2008, 11:14 PM
Nothing will lean them out to what you really need. Like I said, they were fine for me until it started to warm up outside...then my car ran like utter shit. You will ultimately need the controller.

so to street tune i need a wideband....which one do you recommend?

I bought the aem wideband because it was cheaper and a name brand. It has worked great for me.

somewhere between 340hp and 370hp...
like i said before i want a external wastegate..... i was thinking of the pt-performance ported manifold wit external wastegate....but i dont know what turbo

If you are looking for those numbers then the E2 would be your best bet. I haven't heard too much about the ptp manifolds but I know that the realtune manifolds(with the external wga) are good. The only problem with all of that though is the price after you add it all up. That is why I went with the agp 3147...because either way you are looking at over a grand for everything you need...so why not go bigger. The problem with the big wheel stockers is the potential that they don't have. 340-370 on one of those turbos is maxing it out rather than with a big turbo it would be right in a medium range...just food for thought.

Dtec's are nice besides the:
A) Very cheap wiring they come with
B) The cheap maf harness that likes to break all the time
Other than that, they are very easy to use.
