I have a 1996 Rodeo 3.2 4x4. I havent owned it for very long, maybe 3 months. I went outside and started it friday evening to go out after doing an oil change. It ran fine for about a mile then the CEL cam on and it started bucking and shifting badly. I scanned for error codes and got P0122 and P1406. The Rodeo had a new EGR valve on it already when i bought the vehicle, and i replaced the TPS this morning. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Just so noone has to look up the codes posted above:

P0122 - TPS Circuit A Low Voltage
P1406 - EGR Valve Pintle Position Circuit

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.
I have already searched the forums, but all i can find is what the codes mean, but not what to do once the sensor in question has been replaced. I have cleared the error codes but they come back immidiately.
I have also already cleaned the EGR ports following the directions of the many FAQ's on the subject from this forum and other sources.

Ok while waiting for a response on here I checked a few things out. I found tha I am supposed to get 5 volts on the reference wire to the TPS but I'm only getting .5 ~ .7 volts at the reference wire. I can't find any shorts or broken connections. I just hope its not my ECU. I'm completely resetting the computer instead of just clearing the codes to see if that help. I'm not too concerned with the EGR problem as I will be doing the IMG in a few days, and will correct that problem then. Any help with the TPS problem would be much appreciated though :1zhelp:

Remove the EGR tube and clean it and the EGR.

I realize now this thread is from FEB...
