Car is finally Painted!!!!

well lets see, the whole thing costed me 800 bucks. that was all paint and materials. my did all the labor with me for free. he owns his own body shop so i guess i lucked out on that one. and yes i plan on putting the door caps on tomorrow along with mirrors, handles, spoiler, and glass. the kit is a blitz front end with shogun sides, dorr caps, and a shogun rear end. an estimated price for what my dad did would be around 4 or 5 grand only cause the body kit was in such shitty condition and he really took his time and preety much every detail was taken into consideration. i should have it all done and pretty by thursday, cause i have to get tint and a alarm this. but i will post pics when 100% done. see ya. any more questions, just ask. o by the way the color is a custom color from ppg.

i am going to see what it looks like with out the windows tinted first and then decide. and i really don't want rims. i am very satisfied with the ones i have. and you are right it is sunburst burnt orange but with loads more metallic and pearl and it ws layed on top of a candy apple red base coat. and my center tail peice i painted orange. i just have not put it on yet. and i am waiting on my zc motor to arrive. i already have a dc sports header, new water pump, timing belt, zex plugs, new wires, and a zex nitrious system. i have my spare d16a6 in there now. but i should recieve the motor here shortly and i will put it in. do you guys and girls think i should get rims or no?? maybe i should start a poll...........nah:D

he had cloth bags over them, so i think its just a reflection

yeah that was some paint that got on the rims from when we were painting the door jambs. but i already took it off with some paint thinner. but i don't know if i want rims. i kinda wanted the theme to my car to be a little jdm and a little custom. my interior i will be leaving alone. all i have in there is si seats from japan, momo steering wheel and some mbQuarts components. but other than that she is staying the same. i like black interior.

$4,000 to $5,000 people must be drunk when they walk in the door. most shops that i know put about 60 hours into a good paint job and charge like $2,000.

first off, you do not know the amount of work put into my car. try asking before assuming. there is about 130 hours worth of work put into my car. i am not saying i would pay that much for it but if my dad got his normal rate of pay thats an estimate of how much he would get. the paint and materials alone were 1000 bucks. so yes that is how much it would of cost. only cause it was a cheap kit and didn't fit what so ever. but know it fits perfect.

Black rims would be decent if u also got the black tint. Don't feel that u have to go out and buy some rims though cause your car is fine how it is.

Just for reference I know Jmunk does indeed have a hatch, I remember seeing a pic of it but I cant remember where.

yea, if you don't want to go to 17s you don't have to, but I don't think some new rims would hurt, or powdercoat the ones you do have, i think 15s are perfect size when the car is lowered some, unlike my 4X4 i got going:D

where in florida do you live? i do body and paint too and if you lived close i'd like to see it. i also have a zc arriving in a week. but i'm using the stock header and all that ghetto shit. i'm fixin to paint mine black w/ a red metallic with red ghost flames:D

I got those same 2000 SI rimz... They are pretty sweet lookin ;) New ones are always better thoe. Your just gonna slap the ZC in there? After all that work? I dunno about that man! If I were you I would have that bitch prestine before I put it in! Pluss you dont know were that engine has been! (I meen besides japan) It could have been totaly run down by some bastard in japan! Mine came in alright condition... Im just sayin, you should tear down the whole bitch and do internals while its out of the car. I know you will once you get it! BTW! Match that paint colour on the vlave cover would look SWEET!
