Been mulling this one over for ages, just needed a cheap kit in-case I cocked it up, well just before Xmas in NYCfor my wifes birthday picked it up for $23 at Image Anime, so no excuses.
Home made resin cast rear cover and Pegasus slieves and hey presto the topless Japanese lady Nissan should have made, IMO

DAYUMMMM! that's nice! i could only imagine that being done in real life if nissan were to ship the skyline to the US, but NOOOOO, we aren't good enough for the Skyline.

fantastic work and the colors are perfect.

To all those that left comments thank you for taking the time, for the other 384 :disappoin . before anyone goes off on one I must state that I dont post for self gratification and to boost my ego. But so many views without comment can be a little frustraiting, I would prefer a critique rather than nothing that way I can only improve my quality.
Anyhow enough of the moan, what can I cut the roof off next:naughty:

I honestly didn't know what to expect when I clicked this link but seriously, that really is nice!! Elegant and mean looking at the same time. It's a cool concept! I definitely give this one two thumbs up.

The man has a point. All us lurkers really need to pipe up now and then.

:iceslolan

The build is very stylish. Great color choice, and the rims' sleeves are a great touch. Gold wheel centers with the polished lip are a classic to me, and work very well here. The subtle C West emblem does not go unnoticed; Understated confidence always gets high marks. The general masking looks very tidy, and the interior is again, subtle cool.

Only things that catch my eye are a bit of glue in between the panel lines, specifically the front bumper there.

Overall, amazing project completion. This build inspires, and reminds me why we are doing this stuff.

Oh, very convincing stance too. A lot of great builds seem to miss this biggie. :eek7: Specifically off set...

Anyways, have fun on the next one. You'll probably impress, yet again. :smokin:

I understand you're disapointment with that much views and so little comments, but there are a lot of people here who just once in a while visit the forum and just don't feel for commenting, but rather just like to look at nice models. Also there are a lot of people here who barely speak enough english to make a decent compliment/remarque on you're model. I'm more a fan of saying something if you realy, really like it or dislike it, or if you have tips, critism or questions about the model. If you just like it, don't post it.. else you would have treaths with 15 pages of replies and barely any useful or interesting in it.
Me personaly i don't really like you're model, but that's because it's not my "style" rather than it's a bad model.

Different but nice at the same time. Never ever considered a Skyline drop top and maybe this won't be the last one we see either.

Nice work!

How did you do the hood vents? I'm opening the vents on the C5-R and haven't found a good way to do this. Any progress pics of the hood work?

The hood vents come molded like that; it's the C-West Nissan Skyline GT-R (http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS04101) kit.
