Battery Off Switch?

Just wonder if anyone has had experience with a battery off switch. They usually install inline with a battery cable and are used for theft deterence or to keep from killing your battery if you don't drive the car for a while.

My GC sits in the driveway for extended periods of time. I'm getting tired of charging the battery and/or disconnecting it. I'm thinking a switch may be an answer. Good idea or no?
