question about motor swap

Im thinking about purchasing a 96 celica and was wondering if an engine swap with a NA supra engine would work. Any info would be appreciated.

well it all depends...what is the drivetrain of both cars....and the obvious, will the celica engine compartment hold the supra 3.0?

they would both be 5 speed of course. I was hoping someone on the board would know. I believe it does since I saw a cardomain page where a celica owner swapped in a TT supra engine. I probably won't be able to find a TT engine so I though about getting an NA motor.

Well...put it this way...anything can be done. It's just that you have to have the time and patence to do it. One big problem (that isnt imposible to get around) is if there is a difference in drivetrains.

Basicly...if you think you might have trouble doing it....find someone who you know personaly that has dont this before and plan out how You would do it. Personaly I would try it.:D
