clearcoating Alclad paints

Not really a carmodeling question. I'm also a figure painter. I need to paint a figure in a metallic colour so I was thinking about using Alclad colours (I've used them already on some cars). But the model will be used in wargames, so it needs to be clearcoated. I know it will dull the metallic effect, but is it possible to do this with tamiya clear (the dreaded TS-13) or duplicolour clear?

Between the 2 of those I think I'd probably choose the Tamiya, as its not as hot as the Duplicolor.

However, you might try using Future, as it makes a very good gloos coat, and AFAIK it wont attack Alclad in anyway, which could possibly happen using the Tamiya or Duplicolor.
