Hi ! Has anyone had their rear window begin to detach from the ragtop?
It is a 2000 Sebring that is beginning to show some wear. Can a window guy fix it or will it be considered upholstery work.::)

Very common on these cars. I repaired mine with a quick-set, 2 part epoxy. It is very easy to do. If you are interested let me know and I will e-mail you instructions.

The two-part epoxy came loose after about 12 months but this 3m adhesive had held for almost two years?

I got the large tube in black but I had quite a bit left over so the 3 oz tube might be enough? I 'loosened' the top by releasing the locks on the windshield header and blocked the top up with a 2x4 block so that it remained loose while I kept the car inside overnight for the adhesive to set up. I actually let it set at least 24 hours before I refastened the top and so far it has held well. Put a couple of 'beads' of sealer on the skirt, below the window edge and then put another bead on the sealing edge of the glass window from the outside. (Some of this bead will 'squeeze' out when you prop the window up from the inside so just use enough but not too much to mess things up.) When you have these beads go inside and 'prop' the window up to make the window and the lower skirt contact the outside vinyl. I used a 3 foot 2x4 and propped it up with a plastic bucket? Whatever you come up with just make sure that it keeps everything tightly in contact while the adhesive sets up. After 24 hours or so remove your props, and check your seal on the outside of the window. Excess can be trimmed off with a razor blade. Mine has held up for almost two years and it is still holding with no loose edges? Good Luck!
