I'm about to buy an engine.. they say its from Japan would it be a direct drop in? need answers quick. thank you.
they say it wont fit due to the fact that the engine bay changed from 95-97 - 98-99 is this true?

The engine bays didn't change at all during those years. At least nothing major. As long as the motor is a 7-bolt it will be fine. Not sure if all the JDM plugs and sensors are all the same but the block and head will be fine.

Im not sure how much of the motor he is sending you. Basically pull your motor out, when you get the new one switch the stuff over from your old motor to the new one if you need to and then put it back in.
Im assuming your getting the block and head but you may have to swap over the intake mani and maybe some brackets. You will just have to wait till you get it to see what all needs to be done.
