94 Cutlass Ciera brake lights stay on

I have a 94 Cutlass Ciera that sometimes the brake lights stay on after the car is turned off which drains the battery. Tried tapping the brake pedal, putting parking brake on and off. Brake lights stay on.

Check the brake light switch under the brake pedal.
It could be damaged/bad or out of alignment.

Also if you trunk is rusting from water leaking in check the ground wires for the tail lights.
