Decals...

I need to create some very small (thin) white stripes (less than 1mm wide) in various shapes. I can create the artwork no problem. And I've printed my own decals in the past at home using the inkject. But the rub now is, how does one print white? Clearly I can't, and while I've thought about hand cutting out of white decal paper, the details will be so painfully small as to be impossible (and thus also too small to mask and paint). Any suggestions as to how to go about this?

Try taping or glueing together two x-acto #11 blades. Then use the two blades, side-by-side, to cut the white decal paper into thin white stripes.

To print white on a transparent decal paper you need an ALPS-printer.

Use BMF to mask the lines and paint it.

For complex patterns that you can't cut out manually, try printing the boundaries and areas that are supposed to be see-through in the matching body color on a white decal paper.

I assume your decals are very small, and if so, no one would notice if you lay ink on the "in-between" areas.

Wow, some really good ideas here. The "inbetween" areas are black so this might just work. And the patterns are wicked small...figure a 4 mm wide octagon with a less than 1 mm wide border...oh fun! I'd tell you what it was for...but I'm ashamed to admit it's not a car....:uhoh:
