hi just wondering wat the difference is between mild steel headers and ceramic coated headers. does this have anything to do with the performance?

mild steel is what the header is made out of. Ceramic coated headers are simply mild steel headers with a ceramic coating to help keep the heat from the exhaust in the header and out of the engine bay. And we all know a cooler engine makes more power... however, the benefits arent really noticable unless you have a built N/A motor and need all the help you can get. So save your money and get a regualr header

As was said, a ceramic coated header is make out of mild steel. It is then ceramic coated for looks, for thermal purposes, and to help prevent rust.

Mild Steel can rust, so if you're getting a mild steel header, I'd get a coated one, whether it be high temp paint or ceramic coating. Ceramic coating will be more durable.:2cents:
