I have an 1987 caprice and want to convert it to power windows and locks. i've seen kits online but I was wondering which is the best and how long would these take to install?

I did the same thing to my Caprice, but I didn't use the kit. I transplanted the entire power locks/windows system from another parts Caprice into mine. Not including removing the power system from the parts car I probably have about 8-10 full hours of work into the entire thing including running the wires and wiring it up properly, removing all associated paneling, drilling out the old rovets, bolting everything else in, cutting the holes for the lock switches, etc. To this day though, I'm glad I did it! Not only can I control all four of the door locks and windows from the driver's seat, it makes the interior look nicer with those nice chrome switches as opposed to some crank handles sticking out.

Since you live near me, i go to u-pull it all the time, theres one in hollywood near 441 and griffin, and theres another one (also better) called "abc u-pull it" in west palm right off southern near the fairgrounds

Yea I know about them but its almost impossible to find box caprice parts, I get all mine from same model pontiacs and others would those parts work the same?

They should, the doors are pretty much the same design, i know the one in west palm always has box caprices to pick apart, and a few other simmilar body styles to the box caprices too
