Terrible Car Jacking

Wow.. it still amazes me how people will do anything just to steal a car. sad story :(

:mad: It pisses me off that another human being can do that to another person. The shooters should be sent to the gas chamber IMO. I hate that stuff like this happens. Simular things have happened here in WV. I usually carry a folding combat knife out of fear when I go downtown to the mall and stuff. I've been jumped before and had a gun flashed at me, but never pointed directly at me. I'm not an inner-city kid. We don't have big cities here in WV, but we still have major problems with crime, simply because the PD isn't big enough to handle it. This story makes me sick to my stomach and makes me want to start carrying the .45 my dad got me for Christmas. He raised me better than that though. This is rediculous and sickens me also. Damn those boys to hell.

I'm guessing that's from your time in South Africa.But I have seen graphic evidence from a case not 20 miles from here where a group of teenagers battered a man to death with a hammer in order to go joyriding in his 4WD.

Yeah, and in a lot of ways your example was worse, most of those kids involved were under 16 weren't they? I remember the news reports,I still can't believe something like that could happen.

It's spreading to every part of the world, it's sickening.

Okay, got a couple things to say that aren't going to be popular in comparison to other posts in this thread.

First off, that AIM-posted explanation of the events sucks. Poorly explained and hard to follow what is going on, who all the people are, all the cars showing up and leaving, etc. Nevertheless, I think I understood what most of you did. So an 18 year old and a 16 year old had their car (Civic) carjacked, got pulled out of their car and had the snot beaten out of them, and then managed to get their hands on a gun or two, and exact revenge on the guys that carjacked them? IS THAT CORRECT? Because if that is correct, and that IS what happened, I say fuck 'em. Mike and Shaun are the carjackers? Good riddance. I could care less that a couple of carjackers got offed. The only sad part about it IMO is that one of their grand fathers had to hear it happening. That sucks.

Now, if I did not understand the events correctly, please let me know. Because if I understood what all of you understood, I don't see that as being so sad. These guys were carjackers. In a life of crime and on a path to nowhere. What would be better? Having them get busted by the cops and spend thousands of taxpayer dollars convicting them and sending them to prison, only for them to probably make paroll and return to society to in all likelihood resume carjacking and other forms of criminal mischief? No thanks, that IMO would be sad.

I took it as the carjackers were doing the shooting. I though that the four tried to jack the civic and the driver and passenger defended themselves. 2 of the jackers jumped in a car and went around bennigans, got a gun from the trunk, and came back around and opened fire on the people who were getting thier things stolen, as the gunman asked for the wallets. Even if the people who were getting their car stolen were the ones shooting, they are still guilty of 1st degree murder. The gunman went past defending himself and killed two people. whomever did the shooting, jacker or victem, is guilty of murder by all means. He walked up behind a guy after shooting him multiple times and blew his brains out all over the wall from behind, while the guy was trying to run. The other boy killed was also trying to escape and shot 4-6 times at about point blank range. If the people who's car was getting jacked were doing the shooting, they crossed the thin line between manslaughter in self defense and murder in the 1st degree. These killings were cold blooded. I'd like to find a news report about this that is much more clear so I know who did what. Either way, I'd say send'em to the chamber or life in prision.

In the link, on the first page of this thread, it said that both suspects were in police custody, and being charged accordingly. Let's hope they get what they deserve.

I have to say I am with Dave(Toksin) on this one, just a few months ago a friend of mine was killed for his car, in Cape Town, they kidnapped his girlfriend and raped her too, after she had seen him shot.

It is no longer acceptable to just take the car, they seem to think killing the driver and occupants is better too.....

To me it became so normal to hear about, it was just part of life, that was when I realised that it was too bad to stic around....

There is some crazy crap that goes on in that country- back in 1995 when I was in Uni- my lecturer said she came to NZ from South Africa because she had been held at gunpoint 3 times in 1 and a half years :eek:

i feel sorry for the guys who got shot they were only trying to stop a car jacking. That's really quite cold blooded stuff its extremely saddening.

people can be so damn stupid...if that's the case, i'd be packing heat too....:mad:

that's why a concealed .44 longbarrel mag in an easily accessible spot in your car is a good thing if you're in an area where that kinf of shit goes down.
