Timing Chain Life?

How long will a timing chain last in a Lesabre? I have a 97 that has the original timing chain and it has about 190,000 on it. It is running great, but I was wondering if others have had to replace the timing chain and at what mileage?

Normally not a maintenance item, check the play by turning the crank, from the pulley bolt, back and forth to estimate the wear.

Your '97 should have a steel crank sprocket, cast cam sprocket, and all steel inverted link chain. As long as the engine has had adequate lubrication, the timing set should last as long as the bearings. There is no need to replace it unless the cam position sensor magnet is damaged.
