04 Freestar Wipers Quit?

Front Wipers quit while in operation. It had been snowing but was mild at the time they just stopped. Rear wipers still working. I have checked the inside fuse panel fuse and inside the hood fuse panel for the front wiper and both fuses are correct size and still good. Any suggestions of what else Icould check before I accept that I need a new wiper motor?
