serpentine belt problem

first off hey everyone. havent been on in a while. hope all is great. i finished school for restoring cars. got an 06 1000rr n a 76 prostreet vega. busy busy me.

my problem is the other night my car started smoking and found out it was my belt. well got a new belt day and put it on and startrd to smoke again. i belive my ac compessor was making noise before hand and i think it is shot now. i havent check to see if any pulleys wear loose or wobbly. but i touch the belt were it lies on the ac compressor and it was very hot compared to another pullys.

does this mean my comprosser is shot? i really dont want ac this summer due to me having my bike. would it be cheaper to just take it out and add another pulley? or what can i do?

The bearings in the A/C clutch are gone.
You might be able to get an A/C delete serpentine belt.
Or, see if any Auto Parts stores rent a clutch removal tool for your vehicle.
