I would definately recommend that you get a CrimeStopper. I have a CrimeStopper 2-way in my car. And it acts like an alarm and and remote car starter. I know that they work awsome and for a long time I have been installing them for just about 3 years.

The model that I suggest is the CS-2015FM. It tells you what is going on with your car. That model is the exact same model that I currently have in my car. IT kicks ass

you can take it to a shop that installs steros, alarms, or remote car starters. Most shops usually do all three

yea it is the fm 2-way paging model with around 1/2 mile or a mile range on it. It is worth the money in my opinion

Ask around in your area about the BestBuy/Circuit City installs. In some areas, they do sucky installs. In my old car, they put the "brain" right under the steering wheel. I could reach down and easily pull the whole thing out and cut whatever wires I wanted to. Make sure you find a place that'll do it right. 60% of an alarm is the install.

DEI is famous to go out after around 5 months to a year. I do not suggest that you get one. But hey its your car:D

I recommend any (Viper, Clifford, Python) 2 way pager alarms with Satellite Security Systems Global Guard. Then you will never have to worry about your car ever. If you dont know what SSS does then go to this site:
http://www.satsecurity.com/
Just my 2 cents......Oh yeah...Read FAQ on that site....pretty interesting....Look at the pricing.....Totally worth it.....Thats it...Peace...

I'm another HUGE fan of Remote Start.
I have a started/ 2-way alarm too. They rule.

I have the Viper 800 but its totally not necesary, i got it for future stuff, i think you should just get the Viper 300 or Viper 500 and then get 2 door lock actuators and you will also have keyless entry!! One thing i like about my alarm is that it has a Proximity Sensor, so if someone comes neer the car or puts their hand through the open window, the alarm will go off, if i had power windows, i would turn on the roll up feature if anyone puts their hand through any open windows!!
91EF3ZC has a nice alarm w/ autostart and he has power windows and shit, he might be able to recommend stuff, oh he also install's these things!!! He's cool ;)

I got a Black widow on mine, its alright, i think it has the remote start option, i know it has keyless entry, but got to get the actuators for it. They installed the brain on the steering column and put the damn over ride button right by it, damn best buy, one day i will move it, but for now its alright. my main alarm is the fact i have nothing, i mean nothing, in the back of my car, no panels, no seat, nothing, that helps out some.
Anyone had problems with their alarm getting more sensitive by itself? i keep havin to mess with it so it don't go off as easy.

That has alot to do with the install. Not the starter itself. I have been and still am installing crimestoppers for right around 3 and a half years now and through out that whole time we had a few come back but not that many.

I've got the high end Alpine with read out screen - I love it - no problems - you can hook just about anything up to it - up to 16 devices total. I could run my air cylinders off the remote - he he - but anyway - it's nice - full programmable with the remote and the display panel.
