Oil pressure

I have a 95 Trans Am that after it heats up to operating temps I lose the oil pressure, to the point my check gauges light comes on, when I am in gear and stopped. If I put it neutral where it revs up a little it comes back. Any ideas on where to start? Thanks for the help.

It has the poper level and the oil is not worn out?

the oil level is full and it only has about 1500 miles on it but it is almost 4 month old.

Well, before gettign into a 'parts list', have the display gauge reading verified by installing a mechnical gauge.
