Well the first one is on the books!

This is the first completed model for me, everything seemed fine untill i opened the dam box.. lol,

The body was damaged on the kit in a couple of locations which i tried to fix, Nothing seemed to fit right when trying to assemble the body and i have no idea why however the dam decals would not stick right.. Seemed once everything dried they just flaked off on me. I glued the headlight lense on no issues and 10 mins later it was all cloudy not sure what kind of reaction i got there.

WIP thread (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=880356)

and here are a few shots of it, I dont think it was too bad for a frist time completely assembled. The rear window did not fit at all, and was missing one of the inserts for the side mirrors.

Looks great! The paint looks as though has very little texture, which is great for your first completed model! That's usually the hardest thing to get right. Your detail painting and detail in the engine bay is excellent, as well. Did you use CA (superglue) to attach the headlight lenses? One of the quirks of CA is that it emits vapors when it's wet and as it dries, and these vapors are just as adhesive as the actual glue, so they will get all over your clear parts and make them appear cloudy (it also does it on non-clear parts, too, but isn't as noticeable). If you use much, much less CA, you can limit or avoid the effect, or preferably, just use some plain ol' Elmer's white glue to attach the headlight lenses.

Excellent work on your first attempt. You're not too far off having this in the bag!

I actually used the Testors clear parts cement, I also used this on the rear window on the back of the kit, which sucked cause when i had placed the body on the model and glued it i relised i forgot the decals on the rear window. When i applied the decal i ended up pushing the window in made for an annouance trying to get it back in to place.
