I'm going to be installing a ETS FMIC on my 1g GSX and was considering the Greddy Type RS BOV. Is there anything I need to know before I go through w/ buying this BOV? When I buy the FMIC they ask what kind of BOV I'm going w/ so I'm assuming that the pipe will have the proper Flange. I know very little about installing one so is there anything I need to do once I get it on?

Just make sure you recirculate it. I think you may have to buy the adapter seperatly for that bov, not really sure. Its a good bov so I would go for it.

Is it a plug and play? Why does it need to be recirculated? What does recirculating it do? Also what diameter do I need? Also do I need GReddy Type S/RS Blow Off Valve Flange, scroll down on the page you'll see what I mean and what does the type have to do w/ anything on it too.

The MAF measures the air before it enters the turbo, the right amount of fuel is provided also. When you "blow off" changing gears you are losing air that the ECU thinks is going into the motor and you will run rich. Search if you still dont understand.

Not sure what size adapter you will need, measure the stock bov and that should tell you. Its only so you get the right size to fit the recirculation hose.

You dont need the flange since you are ordering your intercooler pipes with a flange on them already.

yea you need the recirc fitting but don't need the flange since the |IC pipe will come already pre flanged for you. The gasket isn't bad to have but you can just make you own one.

Just out of curiousity what does a uncirculated set up looks like and what does a recirculated one look like?

Your bov is NOT recirculated when it is vented to atmosphere

The only difference recirc'd to vented is the tube going from the BOV to the intake. Search someething like "DSM Engine Bay" on google images and look around, you'll see what we're talking about.

recirculated notice the black hose coming from the greddy RS into the intake
not circulated that is missing and intake hole is blocked off.
