89 jimmy 4.3

89 4.3 tbi with 181k and the issue thats been happening is it started doing this about a week ago to me it runs fine till the engine gets warmed up then it wont idle without dieing out. it wont accelerate when u try give it gas it bogs down then backfires under the hood. the temp gauge goes up when this happens usually gets around 210-230 but i havent let get up past that. Any ideas of what would could be causing this.

i ran into a similar problem with mine. after trying alot of stuff, it ended up being the coolant temp sensor for the computer. theres one for the gauge and one for the computer.

the only diff is that on mine i didnt have an over heating issue.
