97 4.3 wont start

i just got done changin my intake manifold and got the timing to where i thought is right started right up. (last night) soo i go out to the mall and drive around town after about 2 hours i go to a buddys turn the truck off for 20 min then go to leave wont start. it pops and sputters but wont run after 10 min i get it to start drive 2 miles turn it off then it wont start again. i tryed everything, it will only start with starting fluid but then it runs fine. the check engine lights on but im scared to bring it to autozone because the fact it prolly wont start again. soo any ideas???

checked:
fuel pressure = good
spark = good
timing = good
vacuum lines = didnt rev when i sprayed starting fluid on them

would any sensors make it not want to start but run fine when it does start?

Hard starting points to and may be fuel pressure problem.
But go easy on starting fluid.
Just use carb cleaner.
How lon after you ran it does engine light come on?
Timing is not adjustable but the dist camshaft retard needs reset after dist R&R.

Fuel pressure specs are 60/66.
You need 64-65 lbs on a cold engine start.
If 60 or under the injectors wil not squirt on a cold start.
What fuel pressure do you have cold engine cranking and engine running?

its getting late soo ill prolly check the fuel pressure tommorw, i kinda was thinkin that the fuel pump had somthing to do with this..
the check engine light is on right away but i got it checked last week before these problems and it was the o2 sensor, but ran fine all week soo didnt think that had anything to do with it
