starting problems

I have a 91 S-10 with a 2.8 I started to leave for work yesterday and I forgot something inside left it running ran back in the house and when I came back out it was sputtering and cut off. I tried to start it and it acts like it wants to start but will not. I checked to see if it is fireing and it is. the fuel pump and filter is new. any Ideas?

fuel contamination? drain out some fuel when checking pressure if no pressure defctive fuel pump is common . is it bosch pump oh no!
