Torque spec

I need the torque spec for the bolt in the middle of the watts link. Its 1 1/8 socket size and it the one that is wire tied.

Unfortunately there is not a torque spec for that bolt. It has to be loose enough to not bind up the link, and since there is no inner sleeve the tighter the bolt the more the link gets clamped. So you want to just barely snug it down and then put the cotter pin through.

No, you definitely want that link to move freely in the plane it's supposed to - but not wobble in any other direction. In other words rotate freely around the bolt and not move any other direction.

I have no cotter pin in mine... I loosened it and tightened it tonight, snugged it up. Anyone have a pic of how the cotter is supposed to be? I have safety wire, I guess I could use that.

Ok... snugged it just a little and then ran safety wire through the bolt head adn the 2 holes in the mettal surrounding "wall" then twisted the ends together so the bolt can't back out. Good?

Safty wire tip. When safting bolts allways attach the wire so it is on the tightening side of the bolt so the bolt can not loosen.
