94 jetta 2.0 hall sender help

anyone know how to test the distributer hall sender on this thing?I got 5 volts out of two of the 3 terminals and 0 out of 1 with the car running?I also got 2 codes....2-1-1-1 and 2-1-1-3.....any help would be appreciated

cmn....theres gotta be a DVOM genius out there somewhere....
