I think its kind of ugly but thats nothing a body kit cant fix. BMW has hit the nail on the head hear I think. Its small light weight RWD!!!! and to level the playing field and give the JAPs some compitition its a 4 cylinder and its suspost to be 16k the the sports trim will probably be around 20k. I think this is what the markets be waiting for, well the street racing market at least:p I couldnt find any numbers but what do you all think. Only down side I see is now those dam ricers can get ahold of a BMW. Just the thought of them sticking a wing and R type stickers all over it makes me:twoguns:
Heres some pics

have you ever heard of the 318ti?

that was a rwd 4cyl hatch too...

nothing new from bmw...

inline 4...

why is that a surprise?

that's like saying, what a surprise, honda, put an inline four in the new civic...

what other 4, save a boxer, would you put in it?

and who has boxer 4's? sube. that's about it...

Sort of like the 318ti? RWD Bimmer hatchback.

I like the coupe. I want the coupe. I want to park the coupe next to a new Mini Cooper S in my garage.

*looks at Layla*

I also want to get her finished so that I stop feeling guilty about looking at other cars.

Chris Bangle needs to die

Eh, Fliquer, Bangle hasn't screwed these ones up. Note, the "Bangle Bungle" diagonal slash is nowhere to be found. If anything, the front end reminds me a bit of the Aston Martin Virage.

I think the coupe is pretty well proportioned and looks every bit what a baby-Bimmer should. The hatch is screwy looking, I'll give you that. But the coupe screams "New 2002ti".

That's my opinion, anyways.

I always thought of bmws have elegant, understated looks. But then bangle came and made them way too flashy IMO (see old 7series vs new 7series, and the pics of the next 5 series).

Id like the coupe a little more if it didnt have such high shoulders..

The second from top hatch looks pretty good, a little Z3 hatchesque. I think BMW should stick with the high-end market. Although I guess the Mercedes C-class has been selling pretty good.
