temp. control sliders

All of a sudden, my top (mixture) slide arm will not turn off the heat. It will not move to the right (heat) more than 2/3's to the right, and when I move it back to the left (cool)...I still get heat. Anyone have any input?

It sounds like the cable on the control has slipped and is now out of adjustment. You'll need to remove the controller and adjust the cable on the slide.

I got it fixed! I removed the side panel on the passanger side...about where a passangers left foot would be. There was a cable comming down to a "arm", and this arm rotated. What I noticed was that there was another geared arm behind which seemed to "want to be in the path" of the foremost arm. Sure enough, the farside arm has a round protrution, which fixes into a round housing located on the back of the front "arm". Alittle adjustment between the 2, and a 3 finger grasp & push.....wa-la.....it's working. Easier than what the cheap repair manual said.
