96 cutlass, dead?

car died while at work the other day. put my key, dash lit up for a second then dead, no lights, nothing. apart from if i left my keys in the ignition and opened the door the warning noise would come on, not every time tho. dont know whats wrong. it has a brand new alternator and battery in it. only 72000 miles, anyone got any ideas?

Yeah, check that the cables are claen and tight!
Also check out the fuses !!
