Hey everyone just thought I would let you all know whats going on in my bizarre little world.
I started welding school last tuesday and I have really been enjoying it. Leather sleaves are a god send btw. At first I wasn't wearing mine, and a couple sparks flew down my glove and burnt my thumb. Then a couple more sparks burnt through the sleaves on my jacket... so I decided to put my leather sleaves on.
Funny story about these sleaves. I bought them from Harbor Freight... well I bought a pair of them and when I opened the packaging there was only one sleave in there. So I go back in to the store and the guy behind the counter points to the packaging where it says "one pair" and says there is only supposed to be one. At which point I reply with "there is two in a pair." This guy had the dumbest look on his face so im just like "how about I just go get another package so we can see whether there is supposed to be one or two." Sure enough I was right. A pair still means two.
In related news I put my Miller Elite welding mask through its paces today. About three solid hours of non-stop welding. I absolutely love this helmet. Its soo great.
I think I am the best welder in the class, of course I am also the only one who has experience welding. Its pretty cool though because its hard to tell which welds my instructer did and which welds I did. I think I was born to join metal together.
Recently I saw the movie Juno. It was pretty freaking awesome.
Oh on the girlfriend front, her father still wants to kill me, so I don't get to see her very often. Maybe once or so a week and when ever I do I meet her on some trails where she rides her horses. Good thing I'm not dating her for sex because thats not going to be happening for a long time.
In conclusion: Life is pretty great right now. I am enjoying school, I have the love of a good woman, and I cleaned/washed my camaro for around four hours today so it looks amazing.
Yep. Hope you guys's lives are as good as mine.

sounds like you've got it pretty nice. Aside from not being able to see your gf whenever you want. But that may be a good thing..
Auto-darkening helmets are Badass! Just got one this past summer when we bought a new ARC welder at the park i worked at.. sadly tho i quit there for another job.. so all the sweet tools i convinced my boss to buy me are gonna just sit and collect dust...
