My diagnosis….Pilot error.
Too many remote cold-start attempts on an exceptionally bitter day from the comfort of my living room led to the lifeless battery ….. Had I got my corpulent derričre outside on the first abortive endeavour I would have avoided the whole calamity…… In addition: the homicide of the low-beams, was resultant of Canadian Tire’s “monster booster/car pusher” introduction of a surge of high energy to the electrical system……Had I turned everything off in the Lincoln prior to the jump, again I would have avoided catastrophe # 2……What have I learned you say!…..A block heater was provided with that beautiful Lincoln…..I will use it from now on when bitterly cold.
Problem solved.
Thanks
Chris
