Guys I'm a bit emotioned. I got already in my stash some late '70 and '80 Tamiya catalogue and I'm ever been fashinated by the model highlited by those roundels "Modellfan, model of the year...". I remember some: 1987 Modellfan model of the year gone at the tamiya Porshe 959 (someone remember the half cut in the catalogue?) and 1988 MF awarded the Tamy F40.
All this to say that we received an official communication by Modellfan maazine/prize: we got the 2007 ModellFan Model of the Year Award, in the resin/multimedia section, with our Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Gr.B.
I have to say that I seen some outstanding model come out in the market this year: the Alfa 33 serie and the 312PB by Hiro and some other: hopefully they received their awards since they deserve, a lot. Ok for us the R5maxi is just the begin, all our efforts are now oriented to share the best quality, creativity, tecnology we can, and this award sure add a lot of motivation.
Thanks a lot to ModellFan peoples and our kind German friends.

Wow, congratulations guys!
I also am only familiar with ModelFan from their awards for the 959 and F40 kits from Tamiya's old catalogs. But it seems like a terrific accomplishment (and well deserved!) for your first effort. Must feel pretty good!
Well done, and I can't wait to see what you guys have coming next!

Congrats,
I think this price must be seen even higher, when a little company gets this price in contrary to a big company like Tamiya, that sells thousands of kits and has the technics, manpower and money.
In 2005 www.automobilminiaturen.de got the price for their Murcielago transkit.

Well deserved.
I have no idea where you find the time to build models let alone work the ins and outs of manufacturing one.
Puts my own production rate to shame.

Well done team Scuderia Italia Lab. You are in good company:
Scale Motorsport won "modell des jahres 1998" for this (http://store.scalemotorsport.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SM&Product_Code=9111&Category_Code=2).
The more high quality fully detailed models there are on sale the better, although I have almost run out of model storage room unfortunately.
