2000 galant will not start.

My car had a broken pos. battery post connector, changed and had to jump start car. Once car was started(let run for 15 min) put in drive and it shut off. Could not get car staretd again. When ignition turned on you hear starter engage but car will not turn over. Changed starter with no change in problem. Had old stater and new tested, both checked good. Had battery charged and it checked good. Turned crank pulley with ratchet so motor not seized( read in book to do so). What do you think the prob. is. Jammed fly wheel???????? Need major help.

Did you figure out what's wrong with your car? I got the same problem right now. Mine is a 1994 ES, 2.4L SOHC. My battery, alternator, starter are all good but it's like hesitating to turn over. Let me know if you find something out. Thanks.

Transmission Neutral Switch

When you attempted to start your car, did it just click, click, click? If it did and you had to replace that part, how much was that?

I have a 95 galant and i had the SAME EXACT problem... after trying diff alternators, they ended up not being any good, so i got a new one put on... so i definitely recommend checking the alternator.. hope that helps:biggrin:

Check the battery. If not than check the switch if both do not work that take it to your local mechanic. Do not try anything yourself. Trust me. I have been there...:sly:
