97' tahoe SES light

I got a 97' Tahoe 4x4 5.7L that just recently, had the service engine soon light turn on. The truck seems to be running fine with the exception of slow response on acceleration. Also, every once in a while it seems to stall for a couple of seconds then goes back to normal 15 minutes after a cold start. I had done a tune-up about 3 months ago (oct. 07'), changed the plugs, cap and rotor, oil, and the transmission filter and fluid, the thing ran as good as the day I got it. Someone please help!

You need to see what codes are stored. Some Autozones will be do this for free.
