Headlight Problem

I just recently bought a 2003 S-10. When driving during the day the headlights are on completely, not just the DRL's. I had a 99 s-10 and never remember that being a problem. I mean it is nice and sunny outside and the headlights and tail lights are cranked up. They run just as they should at night, but are just full blaze during the day. I'm not sure if the sensor is busted (which they just hooked the truck up to the machine a few days ago to clear off a small issue) and I don't feel like hitting the dome override everytime I get in the truck. Am I missing a simple fix? Or do I need to call the dealer?(still under warrenty) Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions that can be given.
