bumpy ride

I have just replaced the hub assemblies on my '00 GTP (96k miles) and took it for an alignment and tire balance yesterday. The alignment made a huge improvement compared to how it was before, but still a slight right pull. But other than that, my steering still shakes like my tires are unbalanced. Now it could be they just didn't do a very good job, but could it be anything else? Around 10-15mph, it feels like the car has a slight bounce, or just driving over a bumpy road. I have KYB struts with stock springs put on about 10k miles ago but haven't had trouble until the last few thousand miles. So is there anything else I could look at?

About a year ago, I had a small accident on the passenger side which cracked the wheel. Replaced the rim and the sway bar, which had a small crack. The wheel bearings wearing out were likely caused by this incident.

Did you rotate the tires? Rotate the tires front to back and vice versa and see if the shaking/shimmy disappears. How old are your tires and what brand?

Also, do the 9 and 3 o'clock test on the front wheels (raised) to check for worn outer tie rod ends. They crap out around 100K miles and will cause a shimmy.

I'm with Bob. Did you check the tires to be sure they're not scalloped or worn irregularly due to the alignment and hubs being bad? Bad tire rods will allow the tire to move in and out, causing a shimmy. Most shops will not do an alignment if the tie rods are bad, but not all.

I went to Meineke for the alignment and balance, they said the tires look even all around so they didn't rotate them. I can go ahead and do that anyway, just to see what happens. Tires are about 3-4 years old(I'd have to look for my receipt) with some tread left, they are Goodyear Ultra LS Touring with a 80k tread life, I don't know the model off-hand. I'm planning on new rims in the Spring, so I'll just hold out for tires then. The passenger front tire has a very slight bubble on the sidewall, possibly from the impact I had. I'll try to take a look at the tie rod ends but may not have a chance to until this weekend.
