disk brake conversion

what up? im getting a 4gen civic hatch and need to do a rear disk conversion to handel all of the power my b16 is going to pulling when it goes in :sun:. what peices do i need to do the brake swap and can i get the peices froma junkyard for cheap?

the rear brakes really dont do that much braking its split like 85-15 to the front brakes, you prolly wont even notice a difference in stopping power, most people do this swap cuz it looks better.

if you want to stop faster, get bigger rotors. with more surface area for the pads to stop the car faster.

crxlvr..u said that it wont make a difference and I was going to do the swap too but now that you say that I am not going to. what do you recomend I get for brakes? can i get some off another honda that would work better?

in the how to's....rear disc brake conversion

you can get the disc brakes off a 90-94 integra or a 91 CRX SI. if you do the CRX Si you need a longer e-brake cable.

don't forget to get something to cap off the brake lines. that is the most common mistake i hear. seriously.

the whole rear disc brake conversion is pretty much a direct bolt on :)
