Serpentine belt

I have a 95 Z34 the serpentine belt slipped off. I am trying to replace the idler/tension pulley but it will not line up properly. Does anyone have any tricks? its cold outside and Ive been trying for two days PLEASE HELP !!

i just went through that problem with idler tension pully i was working with the wrong bolt that held the old one in never would tighten up correctly fixed problwm by using a allen head bolt more narrow

if your belt fell off your tensioner is bad or your belt is wrong. if you replaced belt check that old and new are the same length.......insuffient tension or idler out of position will cause your problem no tricks here.....
