automotive plastic primer

I understand that I plastic primer is the best thing to use for models. What is a good brand to buy, and is it laqour based ? I have been to many auto parts stores and I have found it, but it only seems to come in clear. If anybody is reading this from Canada, are there any chains that carry white or grey. I want to use automotive paint because theres a big choice of color, so I am told regular primer is no good for this..

when you say car auto sellers, do you mean car dealerships, or is that the name of the store chain? If it is , I don't have any of those where i live. You say you are building a 7 11 mustang? I won one on ebay last week, is it the revell one? Is it any good ?

car auto sellers = shops that sell car parts etc

I get my spray at Canadian Tire.:)
