subwoofer enclosure plans, any good??

i hope to install 2 jl 10w6v2 subwoofers in my 86 ford f150, these are my plans, i was wondering if anyone has any tips, or advice on my design
the box will be 48" long 12" tall have a top depth of 7 in and a bottom depth of 9.
i will divide the box into two seperate vented boxes tuned at 35 herts each

if that was a sealed box, lets say... thats only 1.8 cubes. Now, you need to account for port displacement, the peice of wood seperating the chamber, and woofer displacement. Since you're building a ported box. In the end, you're gonna end up with about 0.5 cubes (per driver) Not enough.
Not enough for two 8's, Let alone two tens.

i have another question, if i do go with a sealed box, lets say about .7 cu. ft. for each sub how will the lower response be

sealed generally have lower output at lower freqencey, but if you're not looking break recored or be all out SPL i doubt you will be unsatisfied.

hey if u want to save some cash, u can try the sundown SD-1 v2, they both have almost the same t/a parameters but the u get the SD-1 v2 for half of what the w6v2 goes for.

hes right, and it will be cheaper, however i think you'll be happier with the w6's

ha thanks for the tips, im getting the jl's from a family member really cheap so price is no problem :D
