the heater hose on these vans are in a tight place and rub together ,then leak. the dealer will sell you three pieces of hose and the quick connect for$209.00. i found a way to keep the $$$$ in you pocket. the quick connect that g.m. uses can be took apart by removing the outer part of the factory crimp. the aluminum part can be sniped and peeled back on itself and rolling it around the crimp. then twist the hose and you have a nipple to put the new heater hose on needing a # 10 hose clamp. this will save you about $207.00.
i discovered this by refusing to pay the dealer the $209.00 for 7" of heater hose and quick connect.so i decided to see what the quick connect was made of . the repair for the leaking heater hose was $1.00 for hose and $0.80 for # 10 hose clamp.. if you break or need the quick connect they cost around $ 14.00
