Light Switch????????

I have an 87 cherokee pioneer and i am trying to replace the light switch but can not get to it. Is there any tricks you know on how to get to it??.......................thanks

It's a pretty simple, conventional switch. The trick is to reach under the dash and feel around on the side of the switch body itself for a small metal button. Push the button and hold it down while pulling on the light switch knob. The knob and shaft should pull all the way out. Then unscrew the switch and remove it from behind the dash.

If you look up at the dash from the floor board, you should see a hole with the button that MagicRat is talking about. Just follow his instructions to remove it.
