Hey guys, i have a jzx100,1999 model and it's automatic. I am encountering a huge problem. What happens is that my car starts with a high rev and when i press the ects snow button it goes down to normal. Sometimes this happens automatically when i am driving and i cannot use the button to control it. It is there almost like some kind of a launch control gone bad. Has anybody experienced such with a chaser? I can really do with some info on that!

Usually the 'snow' button actually has the transmission accelerate from a stop in second gear (not first) which reduces the chance of wheel spin in slippery conditions.
Second gear starts should decrease revs when moving (compared to first gear) , but at initial starting off, the revs should be pretty close.

If not, then first gear may be slipping, due to a defect, possibly in the first gear clutch pack. This is just a guess, based on general transmission principles and may not actually apply to your particular car.
