I think I would go with an H22. Larger displacement, easier to get more power because you arent using turbo or anything.
(Just my opinion)

the new K20 heck the k20 in the rsx type r is suposed to have like 220 hp

Alright the h22a, if put in a del-sol would cause oversteer and all that kind of stuff? And would it fit in a del-sol?

yea, i didnt think of the k20. I are they supposed to be bringing the RSX-R to the US? That would be awesome. I just figured the h22 because it has been around for a while, and there are a lot of parts available.

When you put any engine with over 200 hp into a del Sol, you are going to get torque steer, not just with the h22. I really dont think you have to worry about oversteer, (the back of the car whipping out), in a FWDer. I think understeer would be a lot bigger problem.

Would it still get torgue steer if I were to put on a lsd? And what is understeer? Is all of this understeer and torgue steer dangerous?

an lsd will either eliminate it or reduce it, depending on how much hp your runnin. torque steer is dangerous cause you dont wanna go flying into the other lane and hit the other car or even wreck yoru car for that matter by going flyin into the wall

Actually some lsd's can make torque steer worse. So i recomend going with a quaife they make the best mechanical lsd's and they should reduce some of the torque steer and at worse not increase it.

So if I am just driving somewhere torgue steer is always going to happen no matter what? and can you get use to it, where you can control it after awhile, or will be a big problem that can never be controled with out a lsd

torque steer only happens under hard acceleration, so if your just daily driving crusin around, you wont have torque steer

Understeer- Have you ever tried to corner in a FWD under hard acceleration? The front tires start to roll over and it is hard to turn. Not really dangerous in normal driving.
Oversteer- Go around a corner in an RX-7 or TransAm and floor it. The ass of the car spins around and you loose control. Very dangerous in normal driving. (If you like to race)

There are ways to modify the suspension in FWD cars to eliminate understeer, but I dont know them, having never road raced a FWD car.
Your main problem with putting a high horsepower engine in a del Sol (with a stock suspension) is the torque steer. The car jumps sideways when you give it throttle. I dont know of any websites that can hook you up with better suspension either. Try to go into the Civic and Integra Forums.

You should ask Hybridsol, with a name like that, it sounds like he may have have put a high-horse engine into a delSol.

Yes it would fit in a Del-Sol and no the oversteer is really not that bad at all.

Yeah it fits in the del sol, but would you really want a 300 lbs weight increase on the front end? Yes, those numbers are real, they are'nt estimates. If you're drag racing, this does'nt matter, but, well... you decide. :)
