Hell I think it looks better than almost the whole rest of the line up...the old 250 was butt ugly for the longest time and now it looks like it's an actually cutting edge sportbike. Good Stuff!

I'm trying to talk my girlfriend into getting one. She keeps telling me she wants a scooter and I keep telling her that she doesn't... haha.
I think if I can get her to take the motorcycle course this spring with me then she'll be hooked.

I love the little 250s. They're so flickable and they're tough to keep up with in the twistys if they have the right rider. How do you like that CB900? I was thinking about getting one for the longest time, I need something that's a little better for cruising around and taking longer trip on. The R1 is comfortable but not that comfy, if you know what I mean.

This is going to be insanely sexist, but why the HELL do they always have to show girls on the "little" bikes? That makes guys not want them all the more. Don't get me wrong, I think the bike looks DANG good now, but it's hard enough convincing guys (who have to prove their manhood) to buy one when they don't see stock photos of some blonde chick tooling around on one.

It may be different the the US of A but down here, the average height of a chick is 5'5. So they need "little" bikes.
I'm all for a chick on a liter bike or a 600, don't get me wrong, the idea of a chick who can handle a bike gives me a .................(Ow, cold spoon)

I bought my '06 Ninja 250 from a chick, and I'm not ashamed of that! I ride it hard all the time, so that makes up for it! :)
The new 250 does look good, hard to tell from the bigger bikes. Time will tell if it's as good of an all around great bike like the older 250.
Has anyone seen one in person yet? I don't think they've hit dealers yet.

Yeah I've seen this girl named Angie Loy, (writer for motorcyclist mag) kick the tar out of all my friends on the racetrack. Most of the time the girl thinks a bike "looks cute" though. unfortunately:grinno:

There is nothing wrong with female motorcylists, nor using them in ads. I respect them the same as any male rider (and depending on the girl, they're more fun to follow, :naughty: ). When I had the memorial ride for my father last year, one of the riders was a female. She was a brand new rider, fresh out of the MSF course, and everyone complimented her on how she rode. If she wouldn't have told everyone she was a newbie, they would have never known. Unlike many men, women tend to listen when given instructions, as they don't have the extra head that knows everything. I have a friend that teaches an MSF, and I assist him on occasion. Women learn more because they listen, they don't have any false pride that gets in the way.

I think my comment came off wrong... I'm all for them having photos of chicks riding bikes, as we are an ever-increasingly growing segment of the community. It just irks me that the "primary" photo is VERY definitively female. Even if it was a chick and her hair didn't show, I think it would be better. Most males can't deal with riding a "chick bike". I think the visual update is BEYOND impressive, but I fear repercussions in the male learner community.
As a chick -with upwards of 6 years riding experience, mind you- I find it VERY hard to convince others that I can ride anything over a 500 (and I'm towering in at 5'10"... if not more with my boots on). I guess I should be glad the dealerships are trying to be responsible and make sure a newbie doesn't get on (yet another) liter bike. Granted, I am far more the exception than the rule for height. I am glad to hear there is another female rider shown on another bike elsewhere on the site.

I love chicks that ride bikes. They always ride away from me pretty fast when I try to catch them. I just want to say hi

It's because they can tell that you're not only another one of those bandwagon Ron Paul supporters, but worse yet you actually support the Pats in their cheat-induced championship. ;)

I love it, its torquey as hell around town and a blast to ride, but has the topend for highway runs as well. I've taken it on a few roadtrips as well and its very comfy.

Hey now, don't be pokin at my RP. I can't make excuses for loudmouthed dumbasses that make me look bad. And the pats are an unstoppable freight train of a team and you're just butthurt ;)
To keep this on topic, a friend of mine just picked up a 92 EX250 that i promised i'd get running for her. Man i hope i didn't get in over my head.

Hey steel, maybe it's the crossed M-16's that make them run away, women don't like guns as much as we men do.
My Aunt Sue also rides (she has a decked out White Fatboy), as well as many of her friends. They have an organized "no penises" ride every year from Flint, Mi to Dayton, OH and make quite a sight. Everything from a full dresser Harley (and the one that rides it is about 5'6" and very attractive ) to a 450 Rebel in their group, quite a sight indeed.

$3,000 out the door for a 2008 is a steal!
As for mileage, I get between 60-75 MPG with my 2006 Ninja 250.

I'm working on getting one now, but my friend is trying to convince me to buy an '05 ninja 500 that he found. It only has 500 miles on it and selling for $3200. I'm really tempted, but it''s pretty ugly.
