What's your favorite version of the future...

Literature and Cinema have provided countless projections. What's your fav?

Do you like the bright and cheery utopias, or the dreary, post-apocalyptic watselands? :eek:

Minority Report, minus the omnipotent big brother retina scanners. And the tracked car thingies that go up the sides of buildings.

Dune's future is also quite cool :)

Favourite version = Back to the Future part II.

Flying cars, skyways, a nice clean looking future, plus HOVERBOARDS.

Its the kind of future i'rd like to live in,

My favorite version is the one where I am the only male in the world full of females and I am treated as a sex slave. And, being the only male left in a female world, they need me for procreation:D

I liked all the shit we were supposed to have by the "millenium" that we never got, such as flying cars.

i like the matrix version as long as i am one of those people who know bout the real world ;) .............(and dont forget all that martial arts and shit too)

There was a movie about that. "Last man on planet Earth" Um...not quite how you looked upon it. WWIII broke out...95% of the men dies and all the women became lesbians except a few but any men found alive were killed.

I never saw that movie, thats MY personal wish of the future, is to be the last man on earth and be used by all the women.:D :D

In the perfect future,morals will have been totally replaced by hedonism.There will be a multi-national brothel chain called McFuck,or something similar,with 2 for 1 deals on Tuesdays and gourmet establshments where the buns are tastier and the meat is sweeter...:D

I'll have a flying car if there's a 'Cherry2000' in the passenger seat.

I'd suggest that one described at the end of "This Other Eden" by Ben Elton would be the one I'd prefer...

I like the idea of there being Colonies circling the earth like in Gundam Wing. But there would be war all the time between the Colonies and the Earthsphere. But you would get to pilot Mobile Suits if you are for the Earthsphere and Gundams if you are for the Colonies.

Anything with huge fighting robots! but i doubt that will ever happen much like all the movies make the future all different cause if it like it's what it probbly will be no one would care.

if anyone has ever seen the film "Six string Samurai" ... that would be my favorite future. Trying to find Las Vegas but fighting off russian communists in the nevada desert with your katana with a guitar strapped to your back. Who couldn't say no to that?

The future is a scary thing. I try not to think about it in a manner of what will it be like, but what good it will bring.

Awh-you beat me to it. I love the Fifth Element. Best movie Bruce Willis has done IMO. That's an awsome future inviroment although I would not want to live where Bruce lived in the movie:eek:

i dont have a fav version of the future but i have one i think will happen

people will start messing with kids genes making them born how they want them. in the beginning they will just do eye color hight and health problems. then they will move on to the brain. these kids will begin to get smarter and smarter. eventualy i think the smart kids will advance civilization. then the smart people will start having everyone born that way and regular people will be no more as we enter the twilight zone
