It'll only save you a couple lbs. but the point of taking it out is that it will free up some horsepower. I dunno how to take it out cuz ive never had to deal with it but good luck.

Just put some black tape over your 'A/C' switch. Bam 1000 hp. :smoka:

dont dont save horsepower taking the a/c compessor out, only when you dont run your car with the a/c on...

taking off the compressor is fairly simple, BUT BEWARE there is a BITCH bolt thats on the bottom left, the other 3 are pretty easy.

shit happens right, so someone gets sprayed with freon, big deal environment, just cut the belt from the ac compressor to the engine, and you'll free up some power.

I'm assuming the first "don't" should be a "you." You do save horsepower, and that is because when the A/C is connected, the belt is always spinning, and it's spinning the compressor. Energy from your engine has to be used to move those, and what goes into moving your A/C components does not go to the ground. Thus, when you remove it, you reclaim the force that was being used to power the A/C.

Freon = for the AC
Coolant = for cooling the engine

that was coolent, or "antifreeze"

believe me, if your dad got sprayed with freon.....he would be no happy camper, if it was still charged the freon would come out in its liquid form, thus freezing anything the liquid touched solid
